KELSEY WALDON
Thinking about country music, Kelsey Waldon muses, "If it's a part of who you are, it's a part of who you are." And country music is very much a part of who she is, a part of who she's always been. The Kentucky singer/songwriter hails from Monkey's Eyebrow, in rural Ballard County where her family put down roots several generations ago. Even so, Waldon's musical tastes reach well beyond those borders, as evidenced on her new release, I've Got a Way.
JOE'S TRUCK STOP
We’re a regularly working and touring band with a unique sound characterized by traditional vocal harmonies, Bluegrass drive, Honky Tonk swing, Old Time fiddling, hot guitar picking, and doghouse slapping. Elaborating on those sounds ,we include Country and Blues standards and obscurities mixed in amongst our original songs.
We've shared bills with: JP Harris & the Tough Choices, Foghorn Stringband, Husky Burnette, Filthy Still, Joseph Huber, the Urban Pioneers, the Sweetback Sisters, the Ten Foot Polecats, Sasquatch and the Sickabillies, Josh Morningstar, Danny Kay and the Nightlifers, Jake & the Burtones and many other acts. We've also played at numerous festivals and on television and radio, including several terrestrial stations in the US and Rockabilly Worldwide's 24-hr. Rockin' Therapy Radio.
Joe Macheret (Cincinnati, OH), bandleader, has also lent his instrumental skills on stage and in the studio to folks like the Tillers, Woody Pines, JD Wilkes, Rachel Brooke, the Urban Pioneers, Wayne Hancock, Lucky Tubb and the Modern Day Troubadours, Lenny Lashley, and many other musicians and bands. Through Joe’s Truck Stop’s touring effort and Joe’s work as a sideman with several touring bands, Joe’s Truck Stop has a following that spreads throughout the United States, as well as numerous other countries.
