Wake Island is a Montreal based electronic duo formed by Lebanese musicians Philippe Manasseh and Nadim Maghzal who now split their time between New York City and Montreal. The group fearlessly blends electronic dance music with the skills of veteran songwriters, pairing 90s minimal techno with the raw and vertiginous essence of New York’s early period “No Wave” movement. The result is a positive, energetic and uplifting musical form that makes people move.
Wake Island have shared the stage with: Suuns, Foxtrott, Neon Indian, The Besnard Lakes, Cloud Nothings, Eight and a half, Wintersleep, and more.
