GRACE VONDERKUHN
Grace Vonderkuhn is a rock musician based out of Wilmington, DE. Her music combines psych and garage rock aesthetics with a sharp pop sensibility. Vonderkuhn oscillates between heavy riffs and driving melodies drawing influences from bands such as The Breeders, T-Rex, and Autolux. For the past 2 years, she has been the magnetic front person of her 3-piece band, leading the charge with guitar and vocals. Grace Vonderkuhn's first, self-titled EP was recorded in entirety by her and producer Matt Morrissette on an 8-track cassette recorder and subsequently released on their label, Instacrush Records, in 2015. Since releasing her debut EP, which landed a premiere on Noisey and mentions on Pitchfork, she and her band have been playing up and down the east coast, sharing the stage with the likes of The Districts, Titus Andronicus, Lower Dens, Sheer Mag, Ought, Shame, and more.
In 2018, Vonderkuhn released her first full length album “Reveries” on Egghunt Records, which received glowing press from NPR, Gold Flake Paint, The Grey Estates, New Noise Mag and The Alternative to name a few. Following the albums release, Grace was chosen as an official showcasing artist at South By Southwest 2018, where Mercury News named her one of “SXSW’s Top 10 Performers” along with Kyle Craft, Hop Along, and Bat Fangs. Of one of her showcases, Robin Hilton of NPR’s All Songs Considered said, “She absolutely shredded.”
