MAGPIE SWALLOWS
Magpie's musical journey started at age 3 on the ballet stage and has since spanned from classical orchestras to Renaissance faire stages. A classically trained violist from Southwestern Ohio, she’s performed with groups like the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Young Professionals Chorale Collective, and Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, among others. With a Bachelor’s in Music Education and an M.A. in Educational Leadership, Magpie spent nearly a decade teaching music to students of all ages before embracing her love for performance full-time. As Magpie, she brings humor, heart, and harmony to the stage with The Sirens, a Renaissance fest girl band, and brings a little extra spice to the stage as a solo artist under the name Magpie Swallows. When not performing, Kristin Hill (Magpie's alter ego) indulges in karaoke, reading, and spoiling her three cats and dog—despite their tendency to leave fur everywhere.
