The Blue Velvets are a rock duo from Nashville, TN comprised of Lance Whalen and Colette Cassette. They are Touring the country to promote their new self titled EP. The Rock & Roll sounds they create have been described as ranging from Americana Noir to Voodoobilly. They Live as a married couple on the Cumberland river tending to their pet frogs and refining their own elementary blues.

Our identity is found at the three-way intersection of a songwriting obsession, a vie for charisma, and a yearning for release. The music we make combines the warmth of acoustic instrumentation over a dynamic yet steady rhythm. The lyrics desperately exude longing and heartbreak, yet our songs are wrought with affection.
